Sulphur-crested Cockatoos harassing a juvenile Black-shouldered Kite

I observed a nest of Black-shouldered kites for a month until they fledged.

After all the young Kites were flying I came back to find the youngest Kite still there and crying out for a feed to no avail. This squawking attracted the attention of a flock of Sulphur-crested Cockatoos who set about harassing the young kite.

This sequence of photos shows the great surprise on the Cockatoos when the young kite defended itself. A Cockatoos is seen flying backwards fleeing the obvious danger from the aggressive young Kite.
